money… get back

January 4th, 2009

I’m so thankful my parents help me out with school and my car and everything. I can’t imagine trying to go to school and pay for school and housing and car insurance and everything. I want to try to get them back someday when I actually make money in some kind of job. I am excited to see what sort of job I might get when I graduate. Hopefully I’ll be able to save some money, and also spend a little bit. :)

next semester… my last semester!

January 4th, 2009

Things I want to do since I’ll have a little more free time this semester:

  1. Read God’s word every morning and make more time for God
  2. Work on my photography, actually go out and shoot a lot, enjoy my new camera
  3. Try to get accepted into iStock and sell some photos and make money
  4. Finish my photobook from Argentina and order it
  5. Try to look cool/look my best everyday (why not?)
  6. Work out 4-5 days a week and get a hardbod
  7. Do lots of fun things with Will and spend good time with him while we are both still in the same town
  8. Go camping some weekend
  9. Keep up with my blogs
  10. Try to learn to play guitar better, and get to the point where I can play some songs
  11. Keep in touch with Sofia and practice my Spanish
  12. Go out with friends a good amount, and have more parties at our house
  13. Hang out with Stephie now that she’s in town
  14. Sketch more, and make some nice drawings
  15. Go to the Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings
  16. Be a good President of CPA and plan events, help the club, leave a legacy
  17. Go to all basketball games possible

I think there are probably more but there’s a list to get me started at least. I won’t be bored!

winter break

January 4th, 2009

I’m chillin at home again tonight. It’s nice to be relaxing some over break… but I’m starting to get a little bored. It’s so bittersweet, because I am sort of bored so I want to hurry up and get back to school (I actually like school haha), but I feel like I should be appreciating my break more. I think part of it is that Will is gone on his snowboarding trip now until the 7th, and I’m going to be gone on my Glee Club trip until the 10th, and I got so in the habit of hanging out with him before he left that I’m ready to get back to hang out with him again too. I’m also eager to hang out with my roommates again. It was so great to see them again for New Years and the day after. I had really missed them. Courtney and I are going to spend the day together on Monday and get into some adventures.

It feels like forever since I’ve been in classes though, since I went to Argentina for two weeks at the first part of break. I really can’t believe this is my last semester of school, maybe forever.

I am watching the playoff games with my dad. I keep seeing this same commercial about auto insurance quotes, haha. I think I’ve had enough TV and computer for tonight. Later kids.

Basketball!

January 2nd, 2009

As of yesterday, I have a boyfriend! His name is Will and he’s great. We are so similar and I love spending time with him.

I’m really happy I go to a school with such good sports. Our basketball team is phenomenal this year. I need to go to as many games as possible. I hope I get tickets to lots of games this year!

I also want to go to our basketball museum on campus. We must have quite a collection of basketball trophies. I bet that is something Will would like to do with me, too.

Downtown

December 30th, 2008

I need to go shower and get ready soon but I thought I’d write a little post first.

I had a great time in Argentina, but it’s really nice to be home too. I’m enjoying relaxing a lot over break. :)

I’m meeting a friend for lunch downtown at this really good Sushi restaurant that I love and that I haven’t been to in a long time. I’m excited. I also want to show my friend some of downtown, but I’m not sure where to go exactly. I’ll just show the places I enjoyed in high school.

My friend recently told me that she’s tired of battling with her weight and is going to take Apidexin. I hope it works out okay for her. I don’t know much about diet pills, but I hope this one doesn’t have bad sideeffects and she can really lose some weight. She has been worried about her weight for years so it would be nice to have her be more confident in her own skin.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure

December 4th, 2008

I think it’s so awesome to find free stuff on craigslist you actually want. Similarly, my roommate’s dad, before she moved into the house this summer, was driving around, and found a coffee table and tv stands on the side of the road that someone was throwing out, and he picked them up for us. Now we have this great coffee table with a few scratches, but who cares? We abuse it with beer bottles anyway. It’s great.

Ordering Online… how great.

December 2nd, 2008

I just ordered two parts for my new (used) Canon 10D digital camera–a battery door that it was missing (if I take off the battery grip), and another Sandisk 4GB memory card, which I got really cheap on amazon. Apparently it was supposed to be somewhere around $70-$150, but I got it for around $20 since it came from a bulk package. Awesome.

My dad was just talking about having to buy a new ac compressor, so instead of going to a store, he just ordered it online at that site and ended up getting a better deal. It’s so funny how a lot of times, that is better than going to the store these days. It is convenient, and it’s so much easier to find rare items online than trying to drive around town to find them.

Hi, I’m Angela

November 30th, 2008

And I think I’m addicted to HGTV.

I need to go to bed and get some great sleep again tonight, my last night in my family house (home from college). The past couple of nights, I’ve slept like a rock and gotten some much needed rest.

There is so much to do in the next 12 days before I leave for Argentina. Not only do I have to start packing and preparing for my trip, but I have projects and exams and so much else. Oh, well. I do love being busy.

Okay, now time for bed for real. I’m turning off the TV.

busy time of year

November 30th, 2008

I’m so busy right now. The end of the year is always this way. I have a big project to do for econometrics, but thankfully, I am cranking it out pretty well! I’ve already done 2 pages of my paper and I’m pretty close to having my analysis figured out.

I ate third Thanksgiving dinner today. Haha. I have a pretty good appetite for a girl I think. I don’t know how I’d ever diet seriously if I had to… I think I’d have to take alli diet pills like this girl I work with.

I’m thankful for wireless internet

November 27th, 2008

I wish I had one of those wireless cards where you can get internet from your laptop anywhere. That would be sweet for being in the car. I don’t do things like that that often, but it would still be cool. I didn’t bring either of my MP3 players home with me for the Thanksgiving break, so if I want to listen to music in the car while my parents are driving it’s going to have to be on my laptop. I wish I could connect to the internet and listen to Pandora! It would be sweet to have an iPhone and be able to get Pandora on my phone.

Oh, well. I’m really thankful that we have wireless in both of my houses! (My home home and my school home.)
